The Borough is starting the week with heavy news. 6ABC Action News reported on August 27th that Josh Adens, a 28-year-old Conshohocken resident, was killed after the dump truck he was operating crashed on I-476. There is not much to add here that would not be speculation. A young neighbor is gone. The stretch of 476 that so many of us treat as background noise on the school run was, for one family, the worst place in the world last week. If you knew Josh or his people, this is the sort of morning when a knock on a door with a casserole is worth more than any headline we could write.

Small-borough policing is one of those jobs where the title sounds bigger than the department it leads, and the trade-off is that the person who takes it ends up personally known to a big chunk of the community. Worth watching who applies, because in a town this size the chief is also the neighbor at the block party.

Plymouth Township arrest follows daytime home burglary

One to keep in mind as families ease back into school-year routines. On August 26th, Plymouth Township Police announced an arrest made two days earlier in connection with an alleged daytime burglary at a home where a family was present. Patch's follow-up reporting notes a woman and her children hid in a bathroom, on the phone with dispatch, as the incident unfolded.
