Conshohocken voters face a home rule question on Tuesday

·

Conshohocken voters will see a home rule ballot question at the general election on Tuesday, November 3. Patch reports the question asks residents about exploring a potential home rule charter. Council Member Ralph Frey posted his own perspective on MoreThanTheCurve and says his views are his, not Borough Council's. Exploring is a modest verb, I guess, so read both pieces before you vote.

Conshohocken leaf collection starts Wednesday

·

The Borough of Conshohocken Public Services department will begin leaf collection on Wednesday, November 4. The borough says it is time to rake leaves and move them to the curb. Neighboring towns run their own schedules, and MoreThanTheCurve has a roundup covering Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, Plymouth and Whitemarsh. Yes, the leaves have been winning so far.

Six new EV charging ports planned for Conshohocken

·

PennDOT announced on October 27 a $37 million investment in publicly accessible electric vehicle chargers in Montgomery and other counties. In Conshohocken, six new Level 2 charging ports are planned at the Blue Water Tower office building at 161 Washington Street, funded by a $102,008 PennDOT NEVI grant. Plymouth Meeting is also getting new chargers. Details are on MoreThanTheCurve.

Aroma on Ford gets a nod for its bolognese

·

Aroma on Ford, a new Italian spot in Conshohocken, was featured in 6abc's The Dish on October 22. The segment praised its malfaldine bolognese as authentic, rich, creamy and meaty, and worth every bite. Trick-or-treat candy is not dinner, though I know some of you are testing that theory. Watch the 6abc Conshohocken page for the video.
