· · 1 min read

Mark the calendar and maybe stretch out the walking shoes. The Borough of Conshohocken is hosting the 33rd annual Conshohocken Funfest on Saturday, September 19, from noon to 8 p.m., taking over Fayette Street with vendors, food, and music. Borough officials are calling it the largest Funfest in the event's history.

Because Fayette is the spine of downtown, expect road closures and adjusted parking. The Borough has posted closure details and information about the Conshohocken Cab shuttle service on its Funfest page, and families planning to bring strollers might want to scout their route ahead of time.

Nine blocks of festival is a lot of festival. If your kid has strong opinions about kettle corn versus water ice, you have been warned.

Separately, the 40,373-square-foot office building at 125 East Elm Street sold for $11.1 million according to Montgomery County records reported by the same outlet. Two different transactions, two different scales, one shared theme: Conshy office space is still moving, even if the shape of the market is changing.

For families, this is the sort of story that quietly determines what your commute looks like in three years and what ends up on the ground floor when a building trades hands. Worth watching.

It is a small item on paper. In practice, it is the sort of thing that makes a town feel like a town. A neighbor builds something, a local station takes notice, and the rest of us get a nudge to pay attention to what is happening on our own block.

Rockwell's Riverfront Townhouse Sketch Plan Gets an Update

·

Back on September 3, MoreThanTheCurve reported on a sketch plan from Rockwell Development Group involving 150 townhouses at 501 on the riverfront. The site has now posted an update on that plan.

Sketch plans are exactly what they sound like, non-binding first drafts, but they matter because they signal what a developer is thinking before formal applications land. If you have opinions about riverfront density, traffic on the trail, or what 150 new front doors do to school enrollment, this is the phase where opinions are cheapest to voice.
