Data center zoning hearing in Conshohocken resumes Thursday

·

The zoning hearing on a proposed data center at 900 Conshohocken Road picks back up on Thursday, October 15, after a break of more than two months, MoreThanTheCurve reports.

The summary we have does not give a time or location, so check the source before you plan to attend. Two months is a long intermission for any hearing, I guess, but neighbors now have a date to circle.

Local News

GSK plans new factory just outside West Conshohocken

·

GSK has announced a "nextgen flex factory" just outside West Conshohocken, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported October 9, as relayed by MoreThanTheCurve.

Patch says the expansion is in Upper Merion and involves an $800 million investment. Hundreds of new jobs are expected as manufacturing, research, and development operations grow. No timeline appears in the material we have.

Local News

Spring EQ is leaving its Conshohocken office

·

The Philadelphia Business Journal reported October 12 that Spring EQ is moving out of Conshohocken.

Patch's morning newsletter, citing Bisnow, says the home equity lender is closing its office at 1 W. Elm Street. About 150 local employees are moving to a full floor at Cira Centre in Philadelphia. Patch asks what it means for the town's office scene. Fair question, and we do not have the answer yet.

Community Spotlight

Designer's Choice extends its twice-a-year furniture sale

·

Designer's Choice in Conshohocken has extended its public furniture sale through October 15, according to MoreThanTheCurve.

The listing says the business opens its doors to the public only twice a year. That makes this week a short window for anyone with an empty corner and a measuring tape. Check the source for hours and address before you go.

Safety

Police ask for help identifying suspect in VFW assault

·

The Conshohocken Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect connected to an assault, MoreThanTheCurve reports. Patch headlined its story "Man Wanted In Attack At Conshohocken VFW" and ran the police photo with the question, "Do you recognize this individual?"

Anyone with information should contact Conshohocken police.
