Lead Story

Conshohocken voters get a home rule question on Tuesday

·

Conshohocken residents will vote Tuesday, November 3, on a ballot question about exploring a potential home rule charter, Patch reports. Note the verb. Exploring sounds like a first step rather than the finish line, I guess.

Council Member Ralph Frey posted his own perspective on MoreThanTheCurve. He says the views are his own and that he is not speaking on behalf of Borough Council. Worth a read before you walk into the booth.

Baan Atelier khao soi gets an Inquirer shout-out

·

The khao soi at Baan Atelier in Conshohocken was featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer on October 31, MoreThanTheCurve reports.

Khao soi is a Thai noodle dish, and having a Conshy kitchen's version land in a big-city paper is a decent way to start November. If you have been meaning to try it, you now have a reason beyond hunger.

Local News

Leaf collection starts Wednesday in Conshohocken

·

The Borough of Conshohocken Public Services department will begin leaf collection on Wednesday, November 4. Residents are asked to rake leaves and move them to the curb for pickup, according to the borough.

West Conshohocken, Plymouth, and Whitemarsh have their own schedules, laid out in a MoreThanTheCurve roundup. Yes, the rake has officially won the weekend.

Local News

PennDOT money points EV chargers toward Conshohocken

·

PennDOT announced on October 27 a $37 million investment to build more publicly accessible electric vehicle chargers in Montgomery and other counties. MoreThanTheCurve reports that new charging stations are coming to Conshohocken and Plymouth Meeting.

We do not have opening dates yet, so keep the extension cord in the garage.

Plymouth Meeting hotel plan seeks preliminary approval

·

A five-story, 113-room hotel proposed for 201 Plymouth Road in Plymouth Meeting, in Plymouth Township, is on the agenda seeking preliminary plan approval, according to MoreThanTheCurve.

Preliminary approval is one step along the way, not a ribbon cutting. The full report is the place to check for what comes next.
