· · 1 min read

Also today, NAYA officially opens at the Plymouth Square Shopping Center. The Mediterranean chain has been a rumored arrival for a while, and now it is real, per MoreThanTheCurve. Between NAYA opening and Restaurant Week discounts, your dinner planning tonight is doing itself.

A couple of other borough notes worth flagging. The Plymouth Township Zoning Hearing Board voted 5-0 on September 21 to grant the Borough of Conshohocken zoning relief for a new public works facility in Plymouth Township, a step that has been years in the making. And the Conshohocken Cab, that little-used shuttle service some of you may have forgotten existed, will take its final ride at the end of 2026.

The shop is planning a public celebration on Sunday, September 27. Details are over at MoreThanTheCurve. If you have ever bought a tux, a first-communion outfit, or a pair of school shoes there, this is the kind of anniversary worth showing up for. A hundred-year-old independent formalwear shop in 2026 is not something you replace once it is gone.

While we are on the subject of Conshy institutions, MoreThanTheCurve also notes that The Studio at Hidden River is selling a bread cooling rack from the old Conshohocken Italian Bakery. A very specific kind of local souvenir, and honestly kind of wonderful.

Nor'easter Moving In This Weekend

For Conshy families, this mostly means plan indoor backups for weekend outdoor plans, and if you have a Saturday morning at the Farmers Market on your list, check the sky before you go. It is not a snowstorm-level event, but a soggy, gusty two days is a reasonable bet.
