Now, the version of the story I have is the opening lines only, so I can't tell you which shop it is, what exactly investigators did, or what happens next. I am not going to guess. What I can say is that 46 businesses across 26 towns is not a one-bad-apple situation, and it is worth watching how the county explains it as details come out.
Elsewhere in the neighborhood, Cronheim Hotel Capital announced on September 29th that it secured $31.5MM to refinance the former DoubleTree Suites in Plymouth Meeting. The headline says the building is headed for conversion to apartments. A hotel becoming apartments is the kind of thing that sounds neat on paper, and the real question for neighbors is traffic and school seats, which nobody has addressed yet. Details are here.
