State issues Do Not Eat advisory for Wissahickon Creek fish

·

The Pennsylvania Departments of Environmental Protection and Health and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission announced a "Do Not Eat" advisory on October 7 for fish in the Wissahickon Creek Basin. Regulators found high levels of PFAS chemicals in fish tissue sampled from the creek and its tributaries. Details are in MoreThanTheCurve's report.

If your family fishes up that way, I'd take the advisory at its word and skip the fish fry.

Conshohocken police ask for help identifying assault suspect

·

The Conshohocken Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect connected to an assault. Patch describes it as an attack at the Conshohocken VFW and asks readers if they recognize the man police want to find.

The summaries we have do not say when it happened or how to send in a tip. The MoreThanTheCurve post is the place to start.

Borough Hall closed today with a holiday trash schedule

·

Conshohocken Borough Hall is closed today, Monday, October 12, 2026. According to the borough's news page, Public Services will run a holiday collection schedule for trash and recycling.

The notice we pulled is cut off before the specifics, so I can't tell you exactly which pickups shift. Well, yes, that is a little annoying. The borough's news page under Borough Closures and Holidays has the full details before you haul the bins to the curb.

Whitemarsh board and planning commission have development items

·

Whitemarsh Township's Planning Commission meets October 13 with a sketch plan from the Hankin Group for apartments and retail next to the Fort Washington train station. A sketch plan is an early look, not an approval.

Last Thursday, October 8, the township's board of supervisors was scheduled to consider a proposed $12 million contribution toward preserving a 67-acre quarry property in Plymouth Meeting. Our material does not say what the board decided, so check MoreThanTheCurve for updates.

Conshohocken's Boomi lands a Leader spot in Forrester ranking

·

Boomi, headquartered in Conshohocken, has been named a Leader in Forrester's latest ranking of adaptive process orchestration platforms. It earned the top strategy score among 13 vendors, according to a roundup in the Conshohocken Patch morning newsletter.

The ranking highlighted the company's vendor-neutral AI automation platform, its innovation roadmap and its recent Lunar.dev acquisition. I'll admit the jargon is thick, but a hometown company topping a list of 13 is worth a nod.
